Value Chain Strategy

Our client was a product stewardship organisation reaching its third year of operation and seeking to review its entire value chain operation. They sought to develop short, medium and long term strategies for moving from ‘growing’ to long term sustainable operations. Augment ran a 12 week program across the client business to segment the value chain, separately identifying and assessing options for each segment. Various models were assessed for each segment, including detailed insource/outsource options, alternative supply functions, and controls from both a quantitative and qualitative perspective. An immediate value chain structure was developed for execution, with a strategy for managing a 5 year program to re-assess markets, volumes, partnerships and technologies. Augment was subsequently engaged to implement the recommended short term improvements.
